MR B received the sum of £300,000 as a result of his successful personal injury litigation. He is unable to continue working and is in receipt of various means tested and non means tested benefits. We advised him to set up a trust for personal injury damages, which enabled him to retain the means tested benefits, whilst gaining maximum advantage from the settlement award. The majority of the compensation has now been invested to provide long term financial security.
