Periodical payments

Child A was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a result of admitted clinical negligence. She will require care and assistance for the duration of her lifetime and we provided advice on the structure of the settlement award.

The claimant will initially receive periodical payments of £95,000 per annum, rising to £171,000 per annum when she reaches age 19. The payments are index linked, with reference to the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings index. In addition, the claimant received a cash lump sum of £2 million to meet future contingencies.
